In celebration of Icky Thump’s 10th Anniversary AND The White Stripes 20th Anniversary, Third Man Records presents Vault Package #33: ICKY THUMP X. Third Man’s 500th release & first Vault package to be pressed at Third Man Pressing features:
– A 180-gram double LP of Icky Thump remastered from the original 1” analog tapes and pressed on “contained explosion” colored vinyl, housed in a tip-on sleeve with slightly modified artwork and sealed with a Victorian update on the original red/white sticker
– Icky Thump Extras LP comprised of non-album b-sides and live covers pressed on luminescent lunar-cored vinyl
– The Red Demos LP – the only time the White Stripes did a full run through of tracks in demo form to workshop ideas, including the first ever release of the instrumental “Monkeys Have It Easy”
– A photo book with never before seen photos from David Swanson captured during the recording process
– One of nine different 8×10 White Stripes images by Rob Jones randomly inserted in to each package
– Two enamel pins that when combined depict the horse skeleton imagery originally featured on the 7” artwork for “Rag and Bone”
– The entire package comes housed in a soft-touch coated telescoping box that reproduces the cross of St. Andrew used as an important graphic in Icky Thump’s issue ten years ago.
